Support can be an important supplement to the physician-patient relationship. Much of food allergy management is dependent on avoidance strategies. Food allergy management also includes safe practices in day-to-day living. It is important for families to connect with others who understand and can be supportive. Support can be vital to the stress of the daily challenges of raising a child with food allergies. Support can also be a source of practical management strategies.
Especially when new to the food allergy world, parents have many questions about food. What can I feed my child? How do I figure out which foods are safe and which are not? Where can I find safe recipes for food that my family will enjoy?
We also support the advocacy and research programs of AAFA.
